I read today a news article – that wasn’t really a news article it was an Ode To IMDb.com. This was a great work of writing and I wholeheartedly agree with every word.
Here’s a bit: “Many broad statements have been made about the splendor of the Internet and what the digital revolution means to our future. We can share information like never before, communicate in radically new ways, blah blah blah.
To me, the greatest uses for the Internet are, in order, watching videos of theatrical mammals (like the “dramatic chipmunk”), looking up the name of a song in a TV commercial and using IMDb to remember the name of that guy who played Magua in “The Last of the Mohicans” (Wes Studi).”
Also, over on my sisters blog she was saying that her kids have been watching a lot of the NeverEnding Story lately – good stuff. But you’ve got to check out the video to the song from the movie performed by Limahl – HERE. the NeverEnding Story screenplay was written by and Directed by Wolfgang Petersen, who also directed “Enemy Mine”, “In The Line Of Fire”, “Air Force One” and “Troy” among others. Thank you IMDb.
