Pursuit of Happyness

The Pursuit of Happyness was a great movie. One of the things I really enjoyed was the vibe of the movie. Although sad, some may say depressing through most of the movie, it had a wide range of great music from the time period, which just puts you even more in the time and place in which the movie is set. For the strange connection between this and ‘the Last Kiss’ that nobody really cares about, just keep reading: the Last Kiss was adapted from an Italian Movie L’ Ultimo bacio Directed by Gabriele Muccino, who was hand picked by Will Smith to direct The Pursuit of Happyness after watching a couple of his Italian movies. Now on to the music.

This first song was only featured in the Trailer for the movie and it is Christina, but it’s still a good song.
Soar|Christina Aguilera
This next song just never gets old.
Ooh Child|The Five Stairsteps
Again, another great old song.
Feelin’ Alright|Joe Cocker
There were a few Stevie Wonder songs in this movie and they all played very well with the feel of the movie.
Higher Ground|Stevie Wonder
This last song didn’t make the movie either, but it’s the movies loss.
A Father’s Way|Seal
