I’m a fan of Kenny Loggins and when I came across his Christmas album December back in 1998 I knew I would enjoy it. What I didn’t realize was that this would be one of the two albums that to me sounds like christmas, from start to finish. You may remember Kenny Loggins from his soundtrack songs from the 80’s (Footloose, Danger Zone, etc) or his children’s lullaby albums. He has a great voice for either and it extends to this Christmas album. This song doesn’t have that modern Christmas album feel where an artist tries to mix it up with some rocking versions or really change an old one, he really plays to his strengths on this one. This is a great selection of songs sung very well. Some might say this album is a bit slow, but that’s one of the great things about it, it sound like a cold snowy winters night.
